Colin and Benny decided to take Hac off for a private conversation, as they could tell from his eyes that he'd just had an experience that only the two of them could comprehend; he was now VSO. The rest of the group settled in the living room; some watching movies, while others held smaller conversations in the background. As it grew late, Julio and his family headed home, followed by all of the Mikyvis except Xavier heading back to when they had came from.
After discussion with Andrea and Filipe, bedroom arrangements were decided for the couples plus one Archnanian. While all of them would normally sleep together, they would alternate between households for location. In Filipe's section, Manny and Xavier would have one room, while Gil and Sal would have the other, leaving the guest room free. In Andrea's section, Dio and Jasper would share a room, and Harett would get his own room. Jasper insisted to the parents that Julian and Oscar be included in the sleeping rotation, earning huge hugs from his new brothers when he stated that nobody was going to be allowed to exclude them from the group.
Just to play it safe, Manny brought up how him and his brothers usually slept; Julian and Oscar were fine with it, and both Filipe and Andrea thanked him for the warning.
Andrea tilted her head as the conversation finished, then said "Boys, I just had a thought that might make most of this conversation a waste of time. First thing involves you, Filipe; seeing as our families have been pretty much merged, what are your thoughts on just making it easier and combining our living arrangements? By my understanding, with one call we can have everything changed to make it work before we could make it upstairs."
"You know," Filipe stated after some thought, "with what these boys have been through, I think having both of us available for them might be the best. If that can be done, then maybe a common sleeping room could be arranged for them as well, so they are always waking up in the same place."
"What do you think, boys?" Andrea asked.
"Can we talk it over, Mom?" Dio requested.
"Go ahead," Andrea nodded.
"Julian, Oscar?" Xavier asked, "We're going to have a conference in my head, do you want to join us in there?"
"Really? YEAH!" both boys exclaimed, surprised to be included in something special their brothers could do.
All of the boys seemed to relax, looking like they were resting for about five minutes. Once they were back to normal, Dio stated "We talked it over. Now that Julian and Oscar really understand that we're not going to let them be left out of stuff, we all agree that it sounds good."
"Thank you for taking the time to do that," Andrea smiled. "Xavier, do you know how to contact your Uncle Petey?"
"Sure!" Xavier giggled. "Uncle Kerry; I need a speakerphone!"
"Okay!" Kerry giggled as a child's toy phone appeared on the table, complete with speakers and a toy microphone plugged into it.
"Ohhhh, a dial!," Xavier exclaimed with glee. He reached out and put his finger in the hole labeled 'O', spinning it until his finger hit the finger stop before releasing it.
"Opawatwer, may I hewp you," the voice of a very young child stated.
"I need to speak to Uncle Petey," Xavier giggled as the rest of the family watched with amusement.
"Owne secownd," the kid replied.
The speakers 'quacked' four times, then a voice answered, "Quantum Quacky Quality Quintissential Quonstruction. To when may I direct your call?"
"Whenever Uncle Petey is!" Xavier giggled.
"He has been standing behind your group for the last five point seven seconds. Thank you for your call!"
The call disconnected as everyone but Xavier twisted their heads in surprise. Xavier just turned as he giggled "What took so long, Uncle Petey?"
"Leg adopted an abandoned foot, we had to add another bedroom," Petey grinned. "How can I help?"
"We need to make some adjustments after the afternoon the boys had," Andrea explained. "We decided it would be best to combine our families, with the boys having one common room for their normal sleeping arrangement, yet still possibly having rooms for their own private spaces during the day. You might want to discuss if accommodations are needed for Julio's brothers, as they are very close friends of this group now."
Knowing what couldn't be said from witnessing it earlier, Petey replied "Give me a few seconds, I'll check with them."
He vanished for ten seconds, then returned. "Okay; we'll do portals to their bedrooms; all of their parents are okay with them spending the nights over here when they want or need to. For now, only the boys will be able to use them, but once all of the group are comfortable with each other's parents, we'll open them up to the parents as well."
"That sound reasonable to me," Andrea stated, "What about you, Filipe?"
"As we'll probably be comfortable with the other parents long before the boys are, I am fine," Filipe replied.
"Okay," Petey stated as he laid a large sheet of paper on the table that appeared behind him, "Let's design your new place!"
"How much room do we have to work with?" Filipe asked as he noticed that the paper seemingly only showed two walls.
"How much do you want?" Peter grinned. "There's plenty of room to expand; the house really needs a big patio anyway."
"I think I understand, Filipe," Andrea smiled. "While obviously it wouldn't be right to just go nuts, Peter's going to just make sure we have what we need, no matter how he has to do it. I think we should just start at the entry, and then see what we come up with. Peter, I'd really like to keep my suite if possible; since at this time Filipe and myself are not in any type of relationship other that as parents, how's about just changing the area that was Julian's room into a second Master suite, with us sharing the sitting room?"
"I like that, Mom," Julian stated, "Since I'll need less room without needing a bed, my new room can be with everyone else's rooms."
Filipe nodded, "In that case, I think it would work out."
Peter quickly sketched out how he thought that it would lay out, then showed it to them. "How does this look? I think we can keep the Family Room where it is; if this lays out like I think it might, we can give a secondary door to separate the youth area from the adult area - that would help the guys relax when they are sleeping."
"Good idea," Filipe nodded. "I suspect at least two of these guys have had issues with being attacked while in their bed."
"Okay, we'll plan for that." Peter nodded. "Guys, we're ready to start on your area."
"I think the private rooms should be for couples, with only the guys who don't have partners yet having their own rooms," Dio stated.
"Good idea;" Peter nodded. "How's about we do those first? I was thinking of putting them all on the back wall, that way we know how far to extend the second floor. We can put a restroom in the common area to make it easy to get to."
"Okay," Dio nodded. "Let's see that."
Peter drew it out, ending up with six rooms along the back wall. After some thought, he added a larger room at the end of the line. "This just about matches the other wing below it; if we add a playroom at the end, it will line up with the rest of the house," he explained.
"Nice!" Julian smiled. "Should we do our big bedroom next?"
"Yep;" Peter replied. "What do you guys thing about just using the rest of that wall for it? We'll just male a sleeping pit in the center; it'll have a gigantic mattress as the floor, and it will hold around twenty kids - forty if everybody cuddles tight."
"Yeah!" all of the boys replied enthusiastically.
Peter drew that in, then commented "I think a big common closet for all of your clothes, that saves space in the private rooms, and then four bathrooms should work, I'll add a closet for towels."
Once that was in, he looked at what was left for space. "Okay, there's enough room for two bedrooms; I think one for the youth side and one for the adult side. The youth side could be for new family that doesn't want to cuddle yet, or visitors that are the same. The adult side one lets visitors for the parents have a place to stay without intruding on the younger guys."
"That makes sense," Dio acknowledged.
After adding visitor restrooms and a dividing secure door between the areas, Peter laid his pencil down. "I'll have the guys put a patio on the new roof; that way nothing blocks the third floor windows. What do you all think?"
"If the boys are happy with their area, I think it looks good," Filipe replied. "That large area that is left in the center gives them a personal family room for when they want to interact as a family, but not with anyone else in the house. If the rest are like the nephews who are now my sons, there is a good chance that their area of the house will be clothing optional, so that gives them privacy."
The sudden smiles told everyone that the boys had not even considered that possibility yet. After a quick conference courtesy of Xavier, they all agreed to the plan as presented.
"I'll get the bubble set, then my guys will get started," Peter stated. "Give us ten minutes, and it'll be ready."
"Thank you from all of us, Peter, "Andrea stated.
**********
Fifteen minutes later, Andrea led the group up the direct stairs into their wing; stairs that were put in to allow Andrea quick access to the Kitchen / Dining areas. Just as soon as all of them were through the security door, they came to a stop; as Peter was sitting there with a table of cookies and twelve adolescent Coyote pups. "Johnny arranged a welcome home gift;" Peter grinned. "Andrea and Filipe, the pup's parents are waiting in your suites for you; they didn't want to influence their pups picking a pet Human. The ones that don't pick someone are just going to hang around and wait for their pet humans to get here."
"Are those WILD Coyotes?" Andrea asked carefully.
"Yes, Johnny and the pup's parents think the boys need four-legged security," Peter stated seriously. "While none of them will intentionally hurt any of the boys, there's not going to be much left of someone that tries to hurt them. Their uncles and cousins patrol the perimeter of the Compound, and Doc Mike keeps a broom and dustpan ready for when perverts try to sneak in. They can sniff out intent even better than most dogs."
While Peter was talking, the pups decided to handle introductions. With tails wagging and ears fully erect, they slowly approached the group of boys. At that point, natural laws stepped in, as there's not a boy in existence that can resist a friendly puppy for more than a few seconds. In no time, the boys were seated on the floor with a pup on each of their laps; the extras split up, with one curled up contently in between each of the couples, with the rest resting by the sides of Jasper, Harett, and Oscar.
"Kerry's going to help you with their food needs," Peter added. "Since they're wild, they get real meat, not dog food - your replicator is already programmed for their favorites."
"I'm still hesitant about wild animals with the boys," Filipe admitted.
Peter nodded. "Did you ever watch Doctor Dolittle as a kid?"
Both adults nodded that they had, so Peter continued. "There are four real-life versions of him in the Command branch of the Clan; Cory's son Timmy, Doc Austin's son Ricky, and two that you've met ... Johnny and Eddie. Timmy and Ricky are Spirit Guides - and I'm not kidding; the two eagles that you'll see them with are certified Spirit Guardians, and they have actually merged with their respective Guide. Johnny and Eddie have had the ability since birth to mentally talk with animals, and they've been given the authority to speak as Timmy to them. What that means is that every single animal or bird that you see in the Compound is part of Johnny's Intel team or assigned Security for someone by Eddie - and they are all fully aware that attacking anyone in the Clan who is not breaking a major law is an instant death sentence. The only question is who will get them first; Kerry, Johnny, Eddie, or one of the other animals."
"Pico says that their Mom and Dad will explain it to you from their side later," Jasper stated as he tried, unsuccessfully, to ward off a face washing.
"The fact that over half of the residents here have been taught to understand the animal's languages helps too!" Peter grinned. "Kyle's already made sure that both of you have the full load, so you're not going crazy."
"So basically, if one of the boys needs one of us, their pup could be the one to come and get us?" Filipe asked.
"Even better," Peter smiled, "Kerry understands them too - they can have him teleport you to where they are at; he might even warn you if Grandma's chewed him out recently!"
"I'm starting to understand this a lot more," Filipe admitted. "While the boys all seem to be handling things better than normal since they got together, I'm sure there will be occasional setbacks. Besides the sense of security that a child gets from an animal that they are close to, these pups are giving the boys protection in multiple ways."
Amanda nodded, "It does make me feel better that if they have issues, their brothers can start assisting them while their companions get help."
"Just so you know," Peter stated, "Xavier is just as unique as the rest of the boys. All of us Mikyvis except him think nothing of popping around to get somewhere if we are needed. While he CAN do that, he doesn't unless it is a real emergency; he'll ask for a teleport first if at all possible. None of us know why, but it is unique to him. He does make up for it in an odd way; he'll speed himself up so that he's moving twice as fast as everyone around him. So get ready to have Speedy Gonzales running around the place sometimes."
"If he teaches his brothers that, we'll need fireproof carpets!" Andrea quipped.
"Already handled!" Peter grinned, "Just to play it safe!
**********
With the boys all in bed, Andrea and Filipe found themselves having a conference in the sitting room with their two new furry companions, Lance and Princess. Besides now having a much better idea of how the coyote family viewed their role in the household, they also had the fun of sharing childhood stories of the pups and the kids that had been in their lives for a while.
As things seemed to be wrapping up, Kerry interrupted their conversation. "Everyone, while it is not an emergency, the pups think you might want to visit the boy's bedroom ... all four of you."
"Are you sure that invading their privacy is a good idea?" Andrea asked.
"For this, I think having you there just might make things better," Kerry explained. "You'll understand when you see why; it looks like they're about to do something that having your immediate support will be a lot better than them worrying about your response all night."
"Okay, we're on our way," Andrea replied.
All four of them made their way towards the other end of the wing, Kerry allowing them access through the security door. As they entered the group bedroom, they found all of the boys in a tight cuddle pile, with the entire group encased in a soft glow, including the pups. All four stopped, watching as the glow began to increase, as if it had been waiting for them.
"Do not fear," a voice stated that only the four of them could hear, a voice that calmed them just by the words being spoken. Seconds later, Mikey, Pablito, and Davie faded into their view. "I'm Saint Mikey of Urbandale, Protector of Gay and Abandoned Youth;" the oldest of the three stated. "These are my assistants, Davie and Pablito. I'm Cory's big brother, so you're family, that means you and your children are the personal responsibility of all three of us, and we like to pop in occasionally to say hi."
"Cory warned me," Andrea replied. "Do you know what is happening?"
"Yes," Mikey smiled, "but it is better that you discover yourself. The three of us are watching out for anything that might need a little adjustment, so just understand that this is part of Our Father's plan."
"Each of us is watching certain ones of your family," Davie added. "That's because some of them have something in common with one of us; and no, we're not telling you what."
"Hey, that's my line you screwed up," Pablito complained.
"I'm protecting young ears," Davie giggled, "Potty mouth!"
"Suck-up!" Pablito grinned. "Put your kneepads away, the show's starting!"
"Are you sure those two are Angels?" Filipe asked in shock.
"Yes, and they're actually being good for a change," Mikey grinned. "Like I said, you're family; they're just going to be their natural selves around you. While they didn't even know about each other in life, they are brothers, and they act like it."
"Watch it, or we're telling Candy," Pablito promised. "She likes us, she's just engaged to you!"
"She even thinks we're cuter!" Davie added with a smirk.
"Mikey," Andrea laughed, "I'm beginning to believe that you're being punished for something that you did in life!"
"You should see the list!" Pablito and Davie stated in unison, breaking into giggles as they realized what they'd done.
"Watch the boys and pups," Mikey stated, more to keep things from going downhill than anything else.
Everyone turned their attention back to the boys, where there were now six glowing oblong energy clusters floating above them. As they watched, the clusters took shape, slowly turning into young boys, all looking about seven, but with different features. Two had yellow hair, making them stand out, two were blond, and the rest were auburn haired. Once they were completely formed, they settled down into the group; one with each couple, one between Oscar and Harett, and two between Julian and Harett. The previously un-paired pups quickly moved to cuddle the new boys just as soon as the glow faded, obviously claiming each of them.
After claiming their own cuddles with the results of their actions, the boys, with their pups, started making their way to the parents. Oscar, Julian, and Harett arrived first along with the two yellow-haired boys and one of the blond boys, with the rest hanging back to see how their surprise was received.
"Mom?" Julian asked warily, "The rest of our brothers didn't want to leave us three out, so they had us talk. I know that you know how me and Oscar feel about each other in private, even though we are cousins; Harett explained Archnanian families, and how he's really both boy and girl for his private parts. We took a few months before we fell asleep for visiting his family at his home on Archnania, and both of us liked him so much after the second month that we had the King marry the three of us. The new kid by Oscar is him and Harett's son Elton, and this is Harett and I's son Neil on my right, and Oscar and I's son Buddy on my left. Everyone thought it was only fair that we got three, since there's three combinations possible between us. After these guys get settled in, we're going to give them a brother from all three of us."
Andrea smiled at the group in front of her. "You can stop worrying, Julian; I'm happy that you two little imps found a way to follow your hearts, and adapting to another culture to bring in the missing piece was very smart. Welcome to the inner family, Harett; I'll give you your hug once I give my new grandsons a cuddle, okay?"
Harett nodded, obviously relieved.
"Elton, Neil, Buddy;" Amanda smiled, "Come on over for your first Grandma hugs; I've got a lot more for you for the rest of your lives!"
After welcoming her new grandsons, Andrea watched as Filipe gave them Grandpa hugs. After he was done, she told him "Julian gets very vocal if he thinks he's messed up; just hear him out before saying anything."
"Got it," Filipe nodded.
As the Guardian Angels did their part welcoming the three new boys, Jasper and Dio escorted one of the auburn haired boys over. The boy had Dio's features mostly, but his skintone matched Jasper's. "Mom, this is Shayne Fenwick Monteiro de Borges," he stated nervously.
"You guys made a little cutie," Andrea stated as she held out her arms to welcome Shayne. While she gave Shayne his first Grandma hug, she stated "You've got a pair of really special parents, little one. Enjoy your new life."
The sequence repeated with the rest of the couples, each with one son. Gil and Sal named their's Ricardo, while Manny and Xavier named the other blond Pedro. Once everyone was welcomed, Andrea followed up on something Davie had whispered to her while Pedro was meeting one of his new Grandfathers.
"Everyone, head down to the family dining room," Andrea announced. "As Xavier can confirm, there's one more thing that needs done tonight; there are six new grandsons here that need food in their little bellies before anyone goes back to bed, and I know exactly what it needs to be. Xavier, please ask your Dad and Pop to join us."
*********
"Aunt Andrea?" Kerry asked over the speaker as Andrea was finishing getting ready for the day.
"Yes Kerry?" Andrea replied.
"Aunt Marcie wants to know if you'd mind if she came over to pass an idea through you before the hoard wakes up hungry," Kerry giggled. "That was her exact words! Peter asked you to remind the boys that they need to warn him before adding to the family since they can do things he can't see ahead of time; Kyle let him know this time, so he's added a second floor on the boy's wing."
"Tell Peter thanks, and I'll pass on his message." Andrea replied. "If Evan or Cleiton are awake, I think at least one of them should be here for the talk with Marcie."
"Evan is up;" Kerry said after a pause, "he said thanks for thinking of that. He suggested the Family office, that way there's room if anyone else is needed."
"Okay; if Marcie and Filipe are good with it, we can do that."
After another pause, Kerry said "I'll teleport Marcie over after everyone else is there, Evan's on his way to the room now."
"Thanks Kerry," Andrea replied.
********
Once Evan did introductions, they all sat down to see what Marcie wanted. "First off, welcome to the insanity!" Marcie began. "Mick, Janice, Bob, and I have morning meetings with Kerry to keep up on families that are having sudden population surges, so I've already got a pretty good idea of what you're waking up to on your first full day."
"Yeah, going from two boys under my care to fifteen in less than twenty-four hours is kind of a shock," Andrea admitted.
"Are you SURE that we've only got fifteen?" Filipe asked with a grin. "It HAS been seven hours since we last counted!"
"They're sleeping, you're safe!" Marcie laughed.
"That's what we thought when they went to bed last night ... all nine of them," Andrea quipped. "Two hours later, I became a grandmother to six more!"
"I was afraid that might happen!" Evan stated. "Cleiton says let him handle it; he's not going to chew them out, but he will explain to them that sudden growth while they are still not settled in themselves isn't fair for anyone."
"Thanks, Evan; I think they'll take it better from Cleiton." Andrea replied. "I don't want them thinking that I'm mad because they made my new grandsons; I get the feeling that they needed it to really bond, they just didn't warn anyone."
"Okay, Cleiton's good with that, he's working out how to approach it," Evan stated. "Sorry for the tangent, Marcie."
"No problem," Marcie smiled, "I'm fully expecting Robin and Avery to pull the same stunt with Eddie any day now, so don't feel alone. Janice had an idea; while the two of us are adapting to feeding an army - literally - neither one of us has real experience with this level of cooking. The idea is to talk to Peter about putting in some arches to connect the kitchens and dining rooms, that way the two most secure houses in Iowa can share resources, plus the two family groups can intermingle while eating. Since family lines cross between both locations anyway, this keeps the families together even though Colin and his group are over here now."
"Evan," Filipe asked, "Since you're more aware of the family situation than we are, what are your thoughts?"
Evan nodded. "Bob adopted Colin and his entire strike team. Marcie; you might want to get the Morrisons in on this, since they're tied into the group too. Pretty much, the main relationships between individuals in the families are between the sub-families in three households; this one, the Morrisons, and the Headquarters group. Xavier counts as ours, even though he is Kyle and Tyler's kid; all of their kids are doing what he is, learning their Humanity by living with normal human parents. They get their family time with Kyle and Tyler up on Archnania while we're not watching, so they get the best of both worlds."
"So it sounds like this would add support to multiple relationships between the groups," Filipe observed. "Back where we came from, mealtime was the one place that all of the family could be together; this sounds like it would support that tendency without forcing the kids to choose between one family or the other."
"I think we should follow Evan's idea;" Andrea stated, "talk with Nancy, and pool all three household's resources."
"I'm good with that," Marcie stated. "Since her family's growth hasn't been as insane as our two houses, we didn't consider that part. Kerry, could you see if Nancy and Hannah are available?"
"They'll be right over!" Kerry giggled. "Mom just dunked Dad in the Caribbean; she needs to hide until he dries off anyway!"
"Thanks, Kerry!" Marcie laughed. At the confused looks, she explained "Frank and Nancy adopted Kerry; it was the one bright point when the battle started, as they did it shortly after the red alert sounded. Nancy takes full advantage of having the compound AI as her son; Frank gets sent around the world for insta-dips every time he annoys her."
As Marcie finished her explanation, Nancy and Hannah arrived via teleport. "Thanks, kiddo," Nancy stated. "If your Dad touches the air horn again, North Atlantic, okay?"
"Got it, Mom!" Kerry giggled.
"Air horn?" Marcie queried.
"He wants to use it to wake the boys," Nancy explained. "if he keeps it up, I'm telling his Mom."
"I don't want to know where Grandma will put that air horn!" Evan exclaimed. He quickly did introductions, then explained what they had discussed so far.
Once everyone was caught up, Nancy told Hannah "Evan and his brother Cleiton just got declared Patriarchs of their bloodline; Mom recognizes them as such, so anything that you want to check on that is different from your old community they are authorized to give you the answer that is as good as law."
"Thank you, Nancy," Hannah replied, "Evan and Marcie know this, but it might be best for the rest of you to know as well. My family ... well, I'm starting to feel that it was escaped ... from an Amish community in Indiana. I'm still adjusting to a lot of things, so do not worry if I am being quiet."
"That 'community' no longer exists," Nancy added. "Hac and Mini set the dogs loose on them."
"Understood," Filipe nodded. "Hannah, I would suggest talking to Cleiton; he may be of assistance with giving your family some of the Brazilian structure to replace the flawed structure that you were raised on. It would give you something to build on that promotes family."
"I didn't think of that," Nancy admitted.
"I will let Abram know of your idea; he has been concerned about just that issue," Hannah replied.
"One thing, Hannah," Evan stated, "if you and Marcie decide that this idea works, any men in the kitchen are equals to you. If you think that you might have a better way to do something, tell them about it. If you don't know something, ask. Just like with all of us kids, in the kitchens there is no such thing as women's work or men's work; there's just work, and anybody can do it."
Hannah finally smiled. "I get the impression that you do not plan on making that a choice for those in the kitchen, Evan."
"Nope," Evan replied, "and Kerry has standing orders to let me know if anyone tries it."
"Do you agree that this might make things better?" Nancy asked Hannah.
"Absolutely," Hannah replied, "that was one thing that I did learn growing up; to feed large groups, all of the families need to work together."
"Sounds like you might have an assistant with coordinating the kitchens, Andrea," Evan noted. "Are the two of you in?"
Filipe nodded as Andrea noted "With two of us with kitchen resource management experience, it would be stupid not to do it. I think Hannah and I need to compare experiences; I'm sure both of us learned things that the other doesn't know."
"Petey says that the kitchens and dining rooms are connected now," Kerry interrupted. "I've just brought a dedicated VI online to give real-time communication between all of the locations. You can just talk like you're in the same room, it's a dedicated channel where you can hear everything without calling me."
"You're just as bad as Grandma!" Evan giggled.
"Who do you think told me to call Petey?" Kerry said innocently.
Marcie shook her head. "He's just like the rest of your boys, Nancy!"
"I agree," Nancy smiled, "it's about time that he follows in his brother's footsteps. Hannah, I think you should probably be over here with Andrea for a week for meals to work out what procedures the two of you think will streamline things. I'll help Marcie and Janice, since I can show them the things you already taught me.
"The boys should be waking up soon," Hannah stated. "Shall we get started?"
**********
"Kerry, could you tell your brothers to get up for breakfast?" Frank asked as he grabbed his second morning cup of coffee.
"They're already all up, Dad!" Kerry giggled. "We're trying to decide what to wear; we're Morrison kids, we gotta look awesome!"
"For some reason, you, Adam, Mark, Jeff, and Brian being involved in that scares me," Frank moaned.
"DAD!" a chorus of voices responded; obviously Kerry was relaying the conversation real-time.
He had just set his cup down to get a slice of toast to hold him over until the boys were ready when the sound of an air horn at fairly close range made him almost jump out of his shoes. With ears ringing, he twisted around, only to find his mom standing there, holding the offensive can and prepared for another round. "Frank, it is my understanding that my dear daughter-in-law had to correct you regarding attempting to injure my grandson's ears. A responsible father would ban devices which would lead to such temptations from his house, before his mother finds out just how long of a blast they can produce."
"Kerry, you traitor!" Frank yelled, only to be assaulted with a second, longer, blast.
"OKAY, YOU WIN MOM!" Frank gave in. "KERRY, BAN THOSE FROM THE HOUSE, PERMANENTLY!"
"Okay, Daddy!" Kerry giggled as the offending can vanished from Grandma Morrison's hand.
"Is there one single child of mine that you haven't corrupted, Mom?" Frank asked as he tried once again to make some toast, adding two slices for his mom without asking.
"They just love their Grandmother," Grandma stated sweetly. "Kerry, could you please tell Bento that it is now safe for him to join us? I believe he is looking forward to meeting the new children."
"He was just waiting for you to finish teaching Dad who runs the house, Grandma! One Grandpa coming up!" Kerry replied before delivering Bento to the room.
Just as soon as he saw Frank's face, Bento chuckled. "I know that look, the children sided with their grandmother again, didn't they?"
"As usual," Frank nodded. "How are things going in Brazil?"
"Much better than expected," Bento replied. "It seems that some of the relatives of the latest additions to the family were less than proper citizens; with the assistance of a few Mikyvis, we were able to find all of their contacts before they were tragically unable to escape during the battle. I believe the American phrase would be that they were 'tied up' when the evacuation was announced."
"Remind me to have Mikey deliver a thank-you for their stupidity," Frank quipped. "From what Kerry's told us, the three boys that were brought in with their cousin have made a huge impact on stabilizing some of our most unstable new family members."
"The few legitimate holdings of their family are already being managed by the Clan," Bento noted. "I will need to discuss with them the same things I discussed with Cleiton regarding their involvement."
"Grandpa!" Kerry cried out as he walked into the room, quickly running over to give Bento a hug. Once the hug was complete, Kerry added "Filipe was trying to distance himself from the family businesses; Cleiton might need to take them."
"Thank you; I think I will be able to work something out," Bento replied. "Where are your brothers?"
"They'll be right down, they're just making sure their hair's done," Kerry grinned.
The reason for the delay became apparent a minute later as the entire rest of the family came in, all wearing their 'Grandma' tee-shirts and black jeans, with their hair combed like it was picture day at school. Kerry vanished for a minute, returning dressed exactly the same as the rest of the family.
"Okay, we're ready!" Kerry giggled.
"Take us over to Cleiton's, please," Frank said as he smiled at the stunt and shook his head.

It quickly became obvious to the adults that some plotting had been going on behind the scenes, as both dining rooms were now filled with identically-dressed kids. Even Julio was in on it, as well as Hac and Colin. Besides making it difficult to spot whose kid was where, the stunt allowed the newer members of the group to feel like they fit in from the beginning.
As the meal progressed, it became harder to sort out who was who, as even the recently-newborn boys from the night before were drawn into other groups of similar ages to get to know each other.
As things were winding down, Julio got everyone's attention. "Okay guys, those of us with the awesome tee shirts get to hang out together; just stay at one of the three houses. The adults are all going to be catching up on adult stuff in the living room in Cleiton and Evan's place, so if you need one of them, that's where they are. Have fun, and get a couple of us older guys if you decide that you want to swim. See ya at lunch!"
Grandma smiled as she watched the kids splitting up into small packs to go off and do various things. "I do believe that Julio's idea worked quite well," she quipped.
"I don't even think Jasper realized that he was in a crowd," Andrea noted as she joined them. "He was laughing and having fun just like the rest of them."
Frank nodded his head towards Haden and Barrett. "He's not the only one; I think a few kids that were scared to approach Haden and Barrett just got invited to geek out."
"Yeah," Julio added, "My little mouse has decided to attach himself to Elton; Terry might actually be coming out of his shell."
"Don't come crying to me when you become a grandfather later today!" Andrea laughed. "He picked the son of my youngest imp and an Archnanian!"
"That explains a lot," Julio replied seriously. "I'm pretty sure that his brothers are letting him have a special status since he was our first rescue that we took in. I would not be surprised if our first grandchild will be from him, because his brothers won't allow it any other way. I think Kanin is the only exception to that."
"Go on and have some fun," Grandma ordered. "What needs to happen will when the time is right."

"Are your brothers following us?" Elton asked Terry as they explored the new rooftop play area.
"Yeah, Kent and Kurt's keepin' us safe," Terry admitted with a smile. "I wish they'd been my brothers always."
Elton nodded, then turned his head to the twins. "You can come play with us while you're keepin' us safe!" he said loud enough for both of them to hear him.
The twins showed their acceptance by jogging over with smiles on their faces, always willing to join their little brother playing. As they came to a stop, they giggled "He's Kurt" and "He's Kent" while pointing at each other.
"I'm Elton!" Elton giggled back. "I wish I had big brothers like you; it feels nice knowing someone's keeping me safe."
Knowing where it would lead if they responded with what their hearts told them to say, Kent carefully replied "Even though all you have to do is ask, there's one thing; you don't just get us. There's a special link between us and our older genetic twin brothers, so they need to be here."
As Kent was speaking, Kurt summoned the other four over their bond. Just as Kent finished, they phased in next to Kurt, introducing themselves as each appeared. Once introductions were complete, Kurt stated "Elton wished that he had big brothers like us to keep him safe like Terry does. Since him and Terry are becoming really good friends, we all need to agree on our reply if Elton and Terry decide to make the wish official."
Bobby, Bruce, Reese, and Riley all nodded their agreement. "Terry?" Reese said, "You know how Dad's always telling everyone to listen to their heart? You need to do that, lil' bro; you and Elton need to talk about what you're both feeling, then decide if you really want to be bonded as brothers, okay?"
"Okay, Reese," Terry smiled as he unconsciously took Elton's hand and walked outside hearing range, while still remaining in the sightline of his big brothers.
Once he was sure that the young pair were out of hearing range, Bruce asked "Are you guys feeling what I'm feeling?"
"Yeah," Riley giggled. "Do we tell Dad and Pop now, or make them find out the hard way?"
"Hard way!" all six giggled softly in unison seconds later.

"Kent, Kurt?" Terry asked softly as him and Elton rejoined the group, "If Daddy and Poppa say it's okay for me to try to stay the night with Elton, can you be there too?"
"You got it, bro," both boys replied in unison.
"Thanks; can you be big brothers for Elton too, please?" Terry risked.
Knowing that Terry included all of them, Kent replied softly. "Since your question means that you agree, all he has to do is ask. You're doing a good thing, lil' bro, and we're all proud of you."
That earned Kent one of Terry's still-fairly-rare smiles, something Kent hoped Elton would help become much more common.
After gathering up his courage, Elton asked "Could you all really be my big brothers too, please?"
All six boys exchanged quick glances, then replied in unison, "Yes, little brother; for the rest of Eternity."
Almost instantly, everything surrounding the eight boys came to a stop, with Pablito appearing seconds later holding Elton's coyote pup Indie. "Took the six of you long enough!" Pablito grinned. "Terry, like I explained a while back, there's things that couldn't be fixed from the orphanage until certain things happened. You just finished the list, so now I get to do some Angel shit to put stuff back where it should be."
Turning to the triple-twins, Pablito added "You six get to watch as a professional screws with shit that you might have a chance at learning about a few eons from now. Take notes, there's gonna be a test when I'm done."
All six boys blew raspberries at Pablito's comments, earning them an angelic finger for their actions.
Turning back to the two youngest, Pablito said "Okay, I'm going to start with Terry, guys. Elton? Indie's gonna add Terry along with his bond with you; I'll explain it once I'm done unscrewing up shit from Terry's past."
Not waiting for a reply, Pablito put Indie down. Indie immediately yipped for Terry and Elton to take a seat on the ground, then climbed into Terry's lap and rolled into a ball. "Hurry up!" Indie impatiently yipped at Pablito.
"Smartass!" Pablito yipped back. Terry began to glow as Pablito fixed things that no doctor would ever find. Pablito then unlocked the things that had locked themselves in Terry's head for his own protection; things that would have driven him to either suicide or murder in the environment that he had been subjected to.
All of the triple-twins eyes went wide as they saw something that they immediately knew would change a lot of things forever; their little brother's eyes began glowing a brilliant blue. "Not it!" the four youngest exclaimed, guessing what question was forming in their older brother's minds.
Reese and Riley glared at their younger sets of twins. "Fine, we'll tell Dad and Pop. Chickens!"
Bobby, Bruce, Kent, and Kurt exchanged grins, relieved that they wouldn't get stuck explaining anything.
"I'll let Quint know that it's popcorn time," Pablito grinned as the glow faded from around Terry. "Okay, Terry's subconscious shut down his Empath abilities as soon as it saw the dipshits that Terry got stuck with. It fucked him up big time; that's why he hasn't recovered like the others in Hawai'i. Since he was ready for N-Gen anyway, I finished with the shit he needed to cross over. Now it's Elton's turn; he's got a couple of things that the Boss wants turned on. Both of them are gonna be on that super-twinlink you six clowns share once I'm done."
"Thanks, Pabs," Reese and Riley replied, making sure to put the info where they could find it in their heads.
"Your turn, Elton," Pablito stated as Indie switched laps. "Your Dad and Pop gave you some special genetic gifts, they just didn't know it."
It only took a minute for Pablito to do what he needed, then he stepped back and looked at the two youngest boys as he considered the thought that popped into his head. "Yeah, Boss," he said out loud, "you're right; they're ready for it now."
"Ready for what?" Reese asked warily.
"The Vulcan marriage bond," Pablito smiled. "Indie's bond makes both of them Timeless; that bond can't even be broken by me. The Boss is having fun again; He's got plans for these two, and they're dragging you six along with them. Enjoy the ride!"
Having made all six of the twins speechless temporarily, Pablito turned back and put his hands on the heads of Elton and Terry. "the Boss says that you're married; here's your Gift," Pablito stated as both boys glowed for a few seconds.
As Pablito stepped back, Terry and Elton turned and stared into each other's eyes, absorbing the new feelings that they were sharing with each other over the new Bond. After a minute, Indie hopped off of Elton's lap before they both stood up, then pulled each other into a tight hug with their faces cheek-to-cheek.
As the two sealed their bond with the hug, Pablito turned back to the triple twins. "They make babies like normal humans, so no more damn surprises! They're both ready to when they feel like it physically; but only their hearts know when they're ready to raise their own offspring."
"You better tell Quint that popcorn order is a double!" Reese giggled. "Dad and Pop are gonna flip!"
Pablito was silent for a few seconds, then grinned. "Even better! Terry and Elton want to do what Julio, Jesse, and Benny did - a surprise ceremony! You six are the Honor Guard, and Indie's going to be the ring bearer! Meet Kyle over in Terry's bedroom; he'll help with details; I get to do the invites!"
